Kolkata, May 16 (UNI) Indo Food, an arm of the Indonesian Salem group, today proposed to West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee setting up of a food park and several food processing units in the state.

Indo Food vice-president Kevin Sietho told reporters after meeting the Chief Minister at the Writers' Buildings that he had already visited two plots in Howrah for setting up the proposed units.

" We have decided to set up few food processing units and develop a food park in West Bengal. The Chief Minister has assured us of all assistance, " Mr Sietho said.

However, the company was yet to decide on the line of products and the total investment, and it would proceed further after working on a feasibility study, he said.

Having an annual turnover of two million dollars, Indo Food has a wide ranging line of food products, including packed food, noodles, baby food, cooking oil, dairy products, tomato ketchup, biscuits and sauce.

The company has operations largely in the Middle-East and African countries.
