Govt to take action against magazine for morphed photo of Brinda

New Delhi, May 16 (UNI) The government today assured CPI(M) leader Brinda Karat that stringent action would be taken against a US magazine which had published her morphed photograph.

Ms Karat complained to the Information and Boradcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi and Home Minister Shivraj Patil that despite filing an FIR, no action has been taken against the magazine which is published from India.

Both Mr Patil and Mr Dasmunsi assured the CPI(M) leader that strict action would be taken in the matter.
