Jeev continues upward movement; Jyoti, Shiv slip
New Delhi, May 15 (UNI) Jeev Milkha Singh remains upward mobile and the last month's Volvo China Open winner jumped seven place to 161 while Jyoti Randhawa, despite dropping three rungs for the second successive week, remains the highest ranked Indian at 122 in the latest Official World Golf Ranking issue today.
Jeev, who notched up yet another top five finish in the PGA Championship in Japan yesterday, had leapfrogged 28 places last week to reach 168 and he continues the trend this week as well, finishing at 161 with .94 average points.
Randhawa (1.17), who had a decent start but later lost the plot in British Masters finishing tied 54th, finds its difficult to arrest the slide even though he remains the highest placed Indian at 122.
Orlando-based Arjun Atwal (1.03), who failed to make the cut at Byron Nelson in Texas last week, is ranked 143, while Shiv Kapur (1.01), who finished at the bottom of the leaderboard at British Masters, slid six rungs to 149.
At the top of the table, Tiger Woods enjoys a lead of 7.52 average points over his closest challenger Phil Mickelson.
Meanwhile, Brett Wetterich's lone-stroke win against Trevor Immelman saw him climb 132 places to 76th, according to information to receive here today.
