Patna, May 15 (UNI) The Bihar government today made it clear that controversial RJD MP Mohammed Shahabuddin suffering from backache would be treated at Siwan itself.

The RJD MP was presently lodged in Siwan district jail for his alleged various offences, including possessing foreign-make firearms, currency and others.

The government medical board of Siwan in its report said local treatment was sufficient for the RJD MP, state Home Secretary Afzal Amanullah told newspersons.

The MRI conducted for diagnosing the MP's back pain in Patna at a scanning centre had revealed that the lumbar in the lower portion of his spine had some problem.

'' The Siwan medical board, however, has said suggestions of medical experts should be taken and now the state medical board is examining it, '' he added.

'' The government is of clear view that it would maintain rule of law in the Shahabuddin case, '' he remarked.

He said permission of Patna High Court had been sought for starting trial of cases involving RJD MP in Siwan divisional jail itself. A room of the Siwan divisional jail had to be notified as a special court, which would hear cases pertaining to the RJD MP.
