Lahore, May 15 (UNI) The cricket board here has fined four Pakistan A players, including captain Hasan Raza, who -- during the EurAsia Cup in Abu Dhabi -- had visited Dubai without team management's permission with three of them ending up in a lock-out there.

Pakistan Cricket Board, however, gave a clean chit to the cricketers saying they were not guilty of overspeeding, an offence for which Taufeeq Umar, Misbah-ul-Haq and Zulqarnain Haider had to spent a night in a Dubai lock-up before the team management rescued them.

Raza, who led Pakistan A to EurAsia Cup win against arch-rivals India in the final, and three others had gone to Dubai for some shopping and they were travelling in a friend's car which was booked for overspeeding.

Though there were reports that liquor, which is banned in Dubai, was found in possession of the players, PCB vehemently denied such claims.

''However, the four players were in breach of their code of conduct by proceeding from Abu Dhabi to Dubai without the Manager's permission,'' Mr Zaidi said.

Accordingly, the Manager proposed a 300 dollar fine for their breach.

''Considering the above factors, PCB has decided to reprimand the four players for breach of conduct. The penalty of 300 dollar imposed by the Manager has been upheld by the PCB,'' the release added.
