WB: Jessica eyewitness Shayan nabbed at airport

Kolkata, May 13: Eyewitness in the Jessica Lal murder case actor-model Shayan Munshi was apprehended by the police at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport at Dum Dum this morning.

Official sources said Shayan was first intercepted by the Immigration officials at the international terminal when he turned up with his father. He was later handed over to the NSCBI Airport Authority police station, where he is being interrogated.

Shayan, along with his father, was about to leave the country, allegedly ignoring a court order. Earlier, he had deposed before a Delhi court about the incident in which model Jessica Lal was murdered but later turned hostile.

Incidentally, a sessions court in Delhi had acquitted all the nine accused in the case that was revived on the basis of a petition challenging the verdict on behalf of the police.
