Two militants surrender in Doda, one ultra killed

Jammu, May 13 (UNI) Two militants of Pakistan-based-Harkat-ul- Mujahideen (HuM) surrendered while one was apprehended and one killed by security forces here.

Army and police sources said two militants Nashir Ahmed alias Abdul Rashid code named Soqib and Akhtar Hasan alias Bashir Ahmed code named Rahat surrendered along with two self-loaded rifles at Gandoh in Doda and laid down their arms after a joint search operation of Army and Jammu and Kashmir police.

An ambush was laid down by security forces in Shahpur village in Poonch district in which an unidentified militant was killed.

The security forces, after search operation, arrested a Harkat-ul-Jamate Islamic terrorist at Zanskar Chatroo in Doda.
