Traffic police given add power to check traffic irregularities

Imphal, May 13 (UNI) Traffic police has been given power under Manipur Vehicle Act 1988 to take action against traffic violations, officials said here.

The Commissioner of Transport has also issued a notifice in this regard.

DSP Traffic L Birababu said the traffic police were also empowered to control and check misuse of vehicles and illegal driving.
