Shiv Kapur, Randhawa make cut in British Masters

Birmingham, May 13 (UNI) Jyoti Randhawa returned an even-par card while his compatriot Shiv Kapur fumbled in his front nine even though both the Indians made the cut in the British Masters at the De Vere Belfry Golf Course here.

With a two-day total of two-under 142, Randhawa is placed tied 25th while Shiv Kapur, after rounds of 70 and 74, shares the 50th spot with others.

Randhawa, who had an inconsistent front nine, had three birdies and as many bogeys in his even-par second round.

Playing the back nine first, Shiv's outward journey saw him dropping four shots in a span of five holes, with a double bogey on the par-five 16th.

Overall, an erratic Shiv mixed four birdies with as mant bogeys besides that double bogey for a round of two-over 74.

At the top of the table, England's Paul Casey fired a sparkling six-under 66 to open up a three-shot lead at 11-under 133 after the halfway stage with overnight leader Darren Clarke slipping to the second spot at eight-under 136 follwing his second round outing of two-under 70.
