Bhubaneswar, May 13 (UNI) Close on the heels of sexual abuse by a Psychology Professor of Utkal University, two Post Graduate students have levelled fresh allegation of sexual harassment against two more professors in the same department.

The University authority had already suspended Prof A S Das of Psychology Department, who had been accused of harassing six students of self-financing programmes during a field trip to Kendrapada last month.

The matter was referred by Vice Chancellor L N Mishra to the Sexual harassment Cell of the Utkal University for a probe.

Prof Das was later suspended and a case has been booked against him for using obscene language, criminal intimidation and insulting the modesty of the girl students. The University authority also removed another professor from the post of the head of the department following the incident.

Police said Prof Das has been absconding for the past six days ever since the matter came to light.

Meanwhile, two more students of the post graduate department of Psychology, have submitted written complaints of sexual harassment against two professors of their department before the sexual harassment cell on last Thursday.

Sexual harassment Cell Chairperson Prof Rita Ray, who had studied the complaints, submitted an interim report to the Vice-Chancellor recommending appropriate action against the two professors.
