Rainfall occurs at isolated places

Bangalore, May 13 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the Weather Office here at 0830hrs today.

Rainfall occurred at isolated places over South Interior Karnataka. Dry weather prevailed over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Bangalore city 3, Mandya 1.

Maximum temperatures changed little over the State. They were appreciably above normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka and above normal at a few places over South Interior Karnataka.

Raichur recorded highest maximum temperature of 43.1 degree celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Monday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over South Interior Karnataka, at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka and mainly dry weather may prevail over Coastal Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over Mandya, Mysore, Chamarajnagara, Kolar, Bangalore Rural, Bangalore Urban and Kodagu districts of South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Hassan, Shimoga, Chikmagalur and Tumkur districts of South Interior Karnataka and over Raichur, Koppal and Bagalkote districts of North Interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather may prevail over all districts of Coastal Karnataka, remaining districts of North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka .

Forecast for Bangalore city: Partly cloudy. Rain/thundershowers likely towards evening or night. Maximum temperature would be around 34 degree celsius.
