R A Mashelkar named for 'Manav Ratna Award'

New Delhi, May 13 (UNI) Council of Scientific and Industrial Research Director-General Raghunath Anant Mashelkar and architect and Vastu specialist Ramesh Pangasa were today named for the 4th and 5th 'Manav Ratna Awards' instituted by the Global Sai Foundation.

The awards will be given away by the Shirdi Sai Baba at a function on May 20, the Foundation said in a press statement.

The award carries a cash prize of Rs one lakh each, a citation, a silver statue of Sai Baba and a golden ring.

Previous recepients of the award include singer Anoop Jalota, music director Ravindra Jain and sculptor Kailash Bharadwaj, it added.
