Police Officer still missing after 2 months

Imphal, May 13: After two months of being reported missing, there is still no news of Nongthombam Kumar, a sub inspector of Manipur police.

Police said investigations were on. The Joint Action committee (JAC) has started picketing government offices at Thoubal district to demand immediate government action on the matter.

The JAC said most underground organisations in the state had also stated that they were not involved in the kidnapping of the police officer who hails from Thoubal distritct.

The JAC appealed to the kidnappers to inform whether he was still alive and to give the reason for the kidnapping.
