One killed, 14 injured in road accident

Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu May 13 (UNI) A 13-year-old girl was killed on the spot and 14 others injured when a van in which they were travelling dashed against a roadside tree at Nambiyenthal village on the Tiruvannamalai-Vellore Highway near here early today.

Police said the mishap occurred when the occupants of the van, hailing from Coimbatore, were on their way to Vellore after completing their monthly 'Girivalam'.

The injured were admitted to the Government hospital here, police added.
