New Chief Secretary, DGP for TN

Chennai, May 13 (UNI) L K Tripathy, Chairman and Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Industrial Explosives Ltd and D Mukherjee, Additional Director, CBI will be Tamil Nadu's new Chief Secretary and Director General of Police (DGP) respectively.

Soon after assuming office, the DMK government transferred Chief Secretary N Narayanan and DGP A X Alexander and posted Mr Tripathy and Mr Mukherjee in their places.

An official release here said that Mr Narayanan will be Principal Commissioner, Archives and Historical Research vice Mr Arun Ramachandran, while Mr Alexander has been posted as DGP, Special Officer, Tamil Nadu Police Academy.

Former Home Secretary Syed Munir Hoda, who was placed under suspension by the previous AIADMK government in connection with the stamp paper scam, will be reirstated as Secretary to Chief Minister.

In the Intelligence set up, C K Gandhirajan, IG, operations is posted as IG Intelligence in place of Mr Sanjeev Kumar, who is transferred. A K Viswanathan, DIG, CBI, reliered from the Centre, has been posted as DIG, CID Intelligence. The release said.

The new government also posted T R Ramasamy, Commissioner for disciplinary proceedings, Nagercoil, to act as Secretary to Chief Minister. Former IAS officer K Rajamanickam and former Additional Secretary K Shanmuganathan have also been appointed as Secretaries to the Chief Minister.
