More employment for Kashmiri youths
Srinagar, May 13 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir government has decided to raise two more batallion of the Indian Reserve Police (IRP) in the state, an official spokesman said here today.
He said the State Cabinet, which met here under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad accorded sanction to the raising of 11th and 12th IRP Battalions in State as per the approved pattern and structure of Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
The cabinet also approved implementation of Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyuti Karan Yojna (RGGVY) for rural electricity infrastructure development and household electrification in Jammu and Kashmir.
The scheme will cover all un-electrified and de-electrified villages and habitations and also support to the electrification programme in already electrified villages,he said.
