Employment through toy making

Shillong, May 13: The Meghalaya government have joined hands with a private company to start a toy making training programme for generating employment for youths.

The project, supported by the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), would train 300 students each year, a government release said here yesterday.

The four-month training programme, to be conducted in collaboration with Kolkata-based Toy Making Technology (ITMT), would impart professional toy-making skills to the students.

The first batch of 100 students would be inducted in mid August.
