Koutans set to enter ladies wear segment
Chandigarh, May 13: Koutans, one of India's leading menswear brand, is all set to tap the ladies wear segment.
The company has already introduced 'Koutans-Les-Fem' wear for ladies on an expermimental basis at a few stores in the country, Koutans Senior Vice President H S Sidhu said today, after opening the 225th showroom of the company in the city.
This is Koutans' seventh showroom in and around Chandigarh.
''We will enter the market with a full range of ladies wear soon,'' he said, while talking to mediapersons. In the next couple of years the company will also enter the kids wear section, he added.
He disclosed that the company will be opening its 226th showroom at Hyderabad tomorrow, making its maiden foray into south.
Koutans which debuted in 1991 as Charlie Creations, has achieved the distinction of a brand growing at a rapid scale, Mr Sidhu said. The exhaustive range of products and designs is large enough to take care of a man's wardrobe requirements, he said.
He said in the last two years there had been a three-fold increase in the stores of the company. Company's sales turnover stood at Rs 165 crore in the last fiscal and the target this year has been fixed at Rs 450 to Rs 500 crore, he added.
Mr Sidhu claimed that Koutans was the largest seller of menswear in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Western Uttar Pradesh.
