Host Goa, Chadigardh Men and Delhi Women wins with ease

Margao, May 13 (UNI) Host Goa's men women teams scored facile victories over Bihar and Madhya Pradesh by identical margin 10-0 and moved into second round on the opening day of the 5th Federation Cup Senior baseball Championship which got under way here at SAG ground Fatorda in South Goa today.

In the one sided affairs, Goa'men blanked Bihar by 1-0, with Prasad, Nikhil and Ritesh scored two homes each. In the women' event, it was yet another one sided match, Goa outclassed Madhya Pradesh by same margin. Goa's captain Kavita shines with one humour and 2 homes, Hema made 3 homes, Madhura and Geeta Parwar scored two homes each.

In the other men matches, Orissa edged out Delhi by 6-4, for Delhi Lok Mohan and Chinmay scored two homes each.Chandigarh blanked Bihar 10-0. For Chandigardh Vir Bahadur, Sahil and Sajiv scored 2 homes each.

In the women events, Delhi beat Madhaya Pradesh by 3-0. Delhi's Jyoti,Nisha and Uparna made one home each. In the second match Delhi beat Chandigardh by 7-1.
