GNFC Q4 net rises nominally, dividend at Rs 4.25 per share

Mumbai, May 13: The state owned Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers Company Ltd (GNFC) has posted a net profit for the period of Rs 93.33 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 as compared to Rs 93.41 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005.

Announcing the results, the company said its total income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 547.44 crore in Q4 FY 04-05 to Rs 680.09 crore for Q4 FY 05-06.

It has posted a net profit after minority interest of Rs 310.96 crore for the year 2005-06, an increase of 29.28 per cent over the previous year. During this period, its total income (net of excise) has increased by 15.55 per cent to Rs 2526.22 crore over the previous year.

The Board has recommended a dividend of 42.50 per cent, which works out to Rs 4.25 per equity share of Rs 10 each, for the financial year ended March 31, 2006.
