Garuda Seva festival performed

Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu May 13 (UNI) 'Garuda Seva' festival was performed at Varadaraja Perumal temple here today.

Lakhs of devotees from various states thronged the temple to worship the deity 'Varadarajar' decorated in a colourful manner.

The deity was taken in and around the temple premises.

The District Collector, R Venkatesan, newly-elected MLA Shakthi Kamalammal, representing Kancheepuram, DIG Krishnamurthy, were among others, who offered worship.
