Debojit Saha enthralls Meghalaya capital

Shillong, May 13 (UNI) Winner of Zee TV 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005,' Debojit Saha enthralled the music lovers at a charity show here this evening, just one day ahead of the mega concert by international rock band ''Air Supply''.

It was the first ever performance by Debojit in the city, known for its passion for music.

He belted out several popular old and new film songs and also tracks from his debut album amid thunderous clamour from a crowd of nearly 10,000 music lovers here.

Debojit, who rose to stardom after emerging winner of the popular music talent hunt show on Zee TV, thanked the people of Meghalaya for their support in his efforts.

The show, organised by the Ardhendu Chaudhuri Charitable Trust, also included a fashion show and performance by Mumbai-based Indi-pop band ''Bombay Beats''.

Elaborate security arrangements were made for the performance keeping in view the trouble created by over enthusiastic fans during Debojit's recent performances at various places in Assam. His show in Dibrugarh city had to be called off due to crowd trouble.
