Blood samples of rape victim, alleged rapist sent for DNA test

Akola, May 13 (UNI) Blood samples of a rape victim, along with that of the alleged rapist have been sent to Hyderabad for the DNA test, police sources said.

Mehfoozkhan from the old city area had allegedly raped the minor girl after taking her to Nashik recently. Later, the alleged rapist started having illicit relationship with the victim's mother.

The woman has four children, the police sources said.

When the victim's father came to know about the wrongdoings, he brought his daughter from Nashik and filed an FIR against the alleged rapist and his wife.

Based on the complaint, both of them were arrested by the police.

Meanwhile, the victim became pregnant and the police decided to carry out a DNA test to establish the identify of the aborted foetus.
