BJP demands all party meeting on sanctity of Tirumala

Tirupati, May 13 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today demanded the Andhra Pradesh Government to convene an all party meeting on protection of sanctity of Venkateswara temple at Tirumala.

Talking to newspersons here, BJP leader Kishan Reddy alleged that Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) had neglected the sanctity of temple after Congress came to power.

He alleged that the Ayyappa temple authorities in Kerala, were not concentrating on the development of roads, despite having funds.

Mr Reddy criticised the TTD and Tourism officials for the proposed construction of ropeway between Tirupati and Tirumala.
