Arson after rumour of child sacrifice

Mahoba, May 13 (UNI) Enraged over the rumour of child sacrifice, an enraged mob today attacked a crusher plant injuring to about 25 employees in Karbai town here.

According to police, a rumour that a boy had been kidnapped and sacrificed spread like wildfire.

Soon, thousands of people collected near Panchpehra and attacked the plant. They also set afire several tents inside the plant premises.

Later, police reached the spot and brought the situation under control. The condition of two of the injured was stated to be serious.

A case had been registered in this regard.
