AP CM lays foundation stone for Cancer hospital

Visakhapatnam, May 13 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today laid the foundation stone for the Rs 24 crore Mahatma Gandhi Cancer Hospital and Research Institute here.

He said the 100-bed Cancer Centre with the latest radiation therapy technology, would be set up by the NRIs.

Dr Reddy said the Centre would benefit the people of the north coastal districts and the border states of Chattisgarh and Orissa.

The Government would extend full support to the project, he added.
