5 killed, 26 hurt in road accidents

Shahdol(MP), May 13 (UNI) Five people were killed and 26 others injured, many of them seriously, in two road accidents in Shahdol and adjoining Anuppur districts in eastern Madhya Pradesh yesterday, police today said.

Police said three persons were killed and 21 injured, seven of them seriously, when a matador fell into a gorge near the pilgrim town Amarkantak in Anuppur district yesterday.

In another accident near here yesterday, 2 persons were killed and 5 injured when a jeep fell into the Son river.
