10 TRS workers killed in Accident

Hyderabad, May 13 (UNI) Ten activists of the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) died and 15 others were injured in a road accident while on their way here, to join the Congress.

According to police, the workers, reportedly followers of party dissident MLA Geetla Mukunda Reddy, were travelling in a mini bus, which collided with a lorry at Gouraram village between Gajwel and Pragnapur on the National Highway this afternoon, while on their way from peddapalli in karimnagar District.

All the ten died on the spot. The seriously injured were shifted to Hyderabad.

TRS dissident MLAs Mukunda Reddy, Bandari Sara Rani, Dugyala Srinivasa Rao and T Jaya Prakasha Reddy have organised a function at Gandhi Bhavan, PCC headquarters at 1500 hrs today, where their followers would join the Congress. PCC Chief K Keshava Rao would admit them into the party. Congress sources said Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy would also attend the function.
