Two revenue officials convicted in bribery case in AP

Hyderabad, May 12 (UNI) The Special Judge for Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), here today convicted and sentenced a Mandal Revenue Inspector of Zaheerabad in Medak district to undergo rigorous imprisonment for one year and slapped a fine of Rs 1,000 in a bribery case.

The ACB officials trapped B Srikanth on February 28, 1999, when he accepted Rs 1,000 from the complainant and arrested him.

In another case, the special judge for ACB cases, Vijayawada, convicted and sentenced K Sampurna Pavani, Mandal Revenue Officer of Thattlavaleru in Krishna District to undergo two years imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 5,000.

The accused was arrested by the ACB sleuths on August 13, 1998, when he accepted a bribe of Rs 1,000 from the complainant, a release from the ACB here said.
