Teenage boy drowns in swimming tank

Akola, May 12 (UNI) A teenage boy got drowned in a swimming pool at Vasant Desai sports complex here on station road last evening.

The deceased identified as Nikhil Harshwardhan Mishra, son of advocate Harishwardhan Mishra, was attending his swimming classes since last eight days, police said.

Both the coaches Ajinkya Sanas and Pravin Jurokar were present at the time of the incident.

Nikhil was fished out in a precarious condition after he went missing. He was rushed to the General hospital where he was declared dead.

A case of accidental death was registered and further investigations are on, police added.
