Sundram Krishan appointed as Punjab CEO

Chandigarh, May 12 (UNI) The Punjab government today transferred nine IAS officers.

Mr Sundram Krishna has been appointed as the state's new Chief Electoral officer with Assembly Elections due in February 2007, in place of Mr G S Cheema who has been posted as Financial Commissioner Development.

Mr P Ram, Principal Secretary Technical Education has been given additional charge of Principal Secretary, Higher Education and languages vice Vijay Kain who has been transferred as Principal Secretary Water Supply and Sanitation.

Mr R P S Pawar, Principal Secretary Sports and Youth Services and in addition Principal Secretary Printing and Stationary gets the additional charge of Financial Commissioner Appeals-II.

Mr G S Sandhu Principal Secretary Irrigation goes as Financial Commissioner Cooperation against a vacant post.

Ms Kusumjit Sidhu, Principl Secretary Water Supply and sanitation transferred and posted as Principal Secretary Irrigation.

Mr Gurdev Singh Sidhu, Director colonisation has been transferred and posted as Director Technical Education and Industrial Training vice N K Wadhawan, who has been posted as Labour Commissioner and Director Employment against a vacant post.
