MPCC nominates Amarjit Singh Manas for MLC election

Mumbai, May 12 (UNI) Amarjit Singh Manas has been nominated as Indian National Congress candidate for Maharashtra Legislative Council Elections for the Mumbai Graduates Constituency.

The announcement was made by Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC0 president Prabha Rao on May 10, a release issued here said.

Mr Manhas has been winning the Mumbai Varsity Senate elections from the Graduates Constituency since the last two decades.

He is the treasurer of Mumbai Congress since last three years. MP and Mumbai Congress President Gurudas Kamat has stated that the people-friendly policies of Congress-led government at Centre and State and the personal unblemished track record of Mr Manhas will help the Congress Party in wresting the Graduates Constituency seat from the communal forces, the release added.
