Srinagar, May 12 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Cabinet today approved 12 posts of district and session judges and fast track courts in the pay scale of Rs 12000-16000.

The Cabinet, which met here with Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad in the chair, also sanctioned 12 posts of public prosecutors on consolidated salary of Rs 5500 per month by corresponding reduction of 12 posts of Munsif and Additional Munsifs.

The sanction strength of two Munsifs and Additional Munsifs would be deemed to have been reduced to 12.

The Cabinet also sanctioned the post of Director Judiciary Academy, having a status of a sitting and retired judge of the High Court, for imparting training to judicial officers with its wings at Srinagar and Jammu as recommended by the high court.

It also accorded sanction to one post of Assistant Registrar (Gazetted) in the pay scale of Rs 7500-12000, one senior scale stenographer (Rs 6500-10500), one head assistant (Rs 5000-8000), one senior assistant (Rs 4000-6000) besides one junior assistant (Rs 3050-4910) in the secretariat of Chief Justice.
