Gulbarga records highest maximum temp of 43.1 degree celsius

Bangalore, May 12 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.

Gulbarga recorded highest maximum temperature of 43.1 degree celsius over the State.

Rainfall occurred at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka. Dry weather prevailed over North Interior Karnataka. Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Mysore 4; Srirangapatna, Balehonnur, Chamarajnagara 3 each; Channapatna, Kanakapura, Hessarghatta, Sidlaghatta 2 each; Kalasa, Mudigere, Bandipura, Magadi, Hoskote, Nelamanagala, Kolar, Bangalore city, Bangalore AP, Yelahanka 1 each.

Maximum temperatures changed little over the State. They were above normal at many places over South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Forecast valid until Sunday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over Mandya, Mysore, Chamarajnagara, Kolar, Bangalore Rural, Bangalore Urban and Kodagu districts of South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Hassan and Tumkur districts of South Interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather may prevail over all districts of Coastal Karnataka, North Interior Karnataka and remaining districts of South Interior Karnataka .

Forecast for Bangalore city: Partly cloudy. Rain/thundershowers likely towards evening or night. Maximum temperature would be around 33 degree celsius.
