Goa CM congratulates Sonia Gandhi on Rae Bareli victory

Panaji, May 11 (UNI) Goa Chief Minister Pratapsinh Rane has extended warm greetings to Congress president Sonia Gandhi on her landslide victory in the Rae Bareli by-election.

In a telegram message to Ms Gandhi, the Chief Minister said her massive victory in the Lok Sabha by-election by over four lakh votes was the expression of people's faith in her leadership and a slap on the face of the opposition, which always tried to sully her image.

Mr Rane said that Ms Gandhi's presence in Parliament would provide inspiration to the people and particularly Congressmen in committing themselves to serve the nation with added vigour.
