Four bookies caught for deals over Sri Lanka v/s England match

Mumbai, May 12 (UNI) Four bookies were caught by the police in Andheri late last night for dealings over the cricket test match being played in London between Sri Lanka and England from May 11 to 15.

On a tip off, the police raided Aashirwad Apartment in Juhu lane and arrested the four men. They also found one lap-top, five mobiles and a colour television worth Rs 2.5 lakhs in the apartment along with a book of accounts recording the gambling deals.

However, Investigating Officer Rajendra Thakur told reporters that the accused were produced before a local court today and secured bail on surety of Rs 10,000 each.
