Ekta Kapoor given notice in connection with KSBKBT

Kanpur, May 12 (UNI) A local court has issued notices to Producer and Director Ekta Kapoor, Balaji Telefilms and Star Plus directing them to appear before the court on May 25 in connection, with some controversial episodes of popular soap opera 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'.

Additional Magistrate First Class Pankaj Kumar Upadhyaya yesterday issued the notices on a petition filed by a local advocate Ratan Aggarwal alleging that a character played by Mira Singhania in the popular soap has downgraded the reputation of legal professionals.

The petition urged the court to ask the respondents to appear before the court with the concerned episodes.
