Patna, May 12 (UNI) Special vigilance judge of Patna Ramnivas Prasad today issued a request letter to the chief metropolitan magistrate of Delhi to record the statement of Sumit Ranjan Jena on oath under section 164 of Criminal Procedure Code (Cr PC).

The state vigilance investigation bureau prayed that the statement given by Mr Jena before Delhi police was concrete evidence regarding the complicity of RJD MP Aniruddh Prasad Yadav alias Sadhu Yadav in the multi crore flood relief scam in Bihar.

The vigilance bureau in its petition said that during interrogation in the flood scam, Mr Yadav stated before vigilance department that he purchased a luxary car from Jena and sold it to one Bhagwan Lal Jha. Jena, in his statement before the Delhi police, had said that the car was never sold to anybody.

In the petition of the vigilance department, it was further said that the Delhi Transport Authority had confirmed this fact.

Jena is currently under judicial custody in connection with two cases registered at Kalkaji and Connaught police stations in New Delhi. Delhi police had arrested him in Goa.
