CPI offers unconditional support to Cong in Pondy
Pondicherry, May 12 : The Pondicherry unit of the CPI today offered unconditional support to the Congress for forming the new government in the union territory.
Party state secretary N R Kalainathan told newspersons here that the party in has extended similar support to the DMK in Tamil Nadu and it would follow the same in Pondicherry to the Congress.
Meanwhile, a meeting of the newly elected Congress legislators will be held at the PCC(I) office here tomorrow to elect the legislature party leader.
Mr N Rangasamy is likely to be elected as the CLP leader as he enjoyed the support of a majority of the elected members.
