About 100 dead in Lagos pipeline blast -Red Cross
LAGOS, May 12 (Reuters) A pipeline explosion on the outskirts of Lagos, Nigeria's biggest city, killed about 100 people today, a Red Cross official said.
The official said vandals were tapping into the pipeline to steal oil when the explosion took place, setting fire to about 500 jerrycans full of oil that were nearby.
