Wockhardt's Waluj plant approved by US FDA

Mumbai, May 11: The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Wockhardt's cephalosporin injectables plant at Waluj in Aurangabad.

The Company informed this to the BSE today. Now, the Waluj plant has become Wockhardts' sixth plant to receive the US FDA approval.

However, three of the Company's cephalosporin products, to be manufactured at the Waluj plant, are pending approval with US FDA.

The company expects them to be approved soon.

Wockhardt's plant in Chikalthana in Aurangabad accounts for majority of the eleven formulations exported to US and is already approved by the US FDA.
