Tripura CPI(M) hails Left victory in Bengal and Kerala
Agartala, May 11 (UNI) The Tripura State Committee of the CPI(M) today said the victory of the Left parties in West Bengal and Kerala would enable the common and oppressed people of the country to boost the movement for an alternative power.
'' The victories in West Bengal and Kerala will further strengthen the left parties' movement for pro-people policies in the national perspective,'' the state committee said in a statement here.
Hailing the victories of the Left Front in West Bengal, the state committee said the people of the state had created a history by returning the Front for the seventh consecutive term.
'' It has been proved beyond doubt that the people of West Bengal had been rallying behind the Left Front because of its multi-beneficial policies and developmental programmes,'' the state committee said.
In Kerala, the people had once again supported the Left Democratic Front by voting against the Congress-led United Democratic Front's anti-people policies and corruption.
'' The victories in both the states are very significant with the people defeating vested interests of the forces from within the country and abroad,'' it said.
