Sonia's win to herald new era in politics: Hooda
Chandigarh, May 11 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said Congress president Sonia Gandhi's thumping victory from Rae Bareli would usher in a new era in Indian politics.
Congratulating Mrs Gandhi, Mr Hooda said her resignation as MP to ''uphold the high moral values in an environment of crumbling values in public life'' and re-election with a record margin would usher in a new era in Indian politics.
The Chief Minister said Ms Gandhi had set an example to serve the country without any personal motive.
Ms Gandhi had resigned as Lok Sabha Member and as Chairperson of National Advisory Council following the office-of-profit controversy.
