New Delhi, May 11 (UNI) The Delhi High Court today directed the Station House Officer (SHO) of Mehrauli Police station to be present in the court on September 7 for allegedly flouting the court's order by permitting an illegal colony on the Gram Sabha land at Chattarpur in South Delhi.

In an order, Justice Pradeep Nandrajog said, ''Court notice be issued to SHO Mehrauli directing him to be personally present in the court on the next date of hearing to answer as to why he should bot be prosecuted for having contempt of orders of the court.'' Revenue Assistant Manish Garg stated in the court that there was rampant unauthorised constructions on the garm sabha land in the village.

The SHO had been held responsible for any encroachment in the area by the High Court in its order pronounced earlier.

''In November 1997, a Division Bench had passed an interim order directing the SHO concerned police station to ensure no illegal constructions in the gram sabha land,'' the order said.
