Heat wave prevails in Haryana, Rajasthan, Vidarbha

Pune, May 11 (UNI) Heat wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Haryana, Rajasthan, north west Madhya Pradesh and of Vidarbha.

Hot day condition also prevailed at isolated places in east Madhya Pradesh.

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Gujarat and coastal Andhra Pradesh and were above normal in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kasmir, east Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Chattisgarh, Telangana, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka and Kerala.

They were appreciably to markedly below normal in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh and were below normal in Orissa.

They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada.

Very light rain have occurred at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya, east Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh and Tamil Nadu.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal Sikkim, Bihar, Andman and Nicobar Islands and at a few places in Jharkhand, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, west Rajasthan, south interior Karnataka and at isolated places in Orissa, Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, north interior Karnataka and Kerala.
