Fluid Power backbone of economic development, says Malhoutra
Bangalore, May 11 (UNI) Fluid Power formed the backbone of economic development throughout the world, Fluid Power Society of India President Udayant Malhoutra opined today.
Speaking after the inauguration of the four-day Fluid Power Exhibition and Seminar 2006 here, he said ''As roads and dams are built, farms mechanised, factories expanded and manufacturing process automated, Fluid Power will supplement and eventually replace manual labour. It will increase productivity and enhance the quality of life of all Indians. India has the potential of becoming the third largest market of fluid power after the United States and Europe,'' he added.
A number of papers on both conventional topics and cutting-edge technologies would be presented during International Technical Seminar.
The seminar and exhibition was being attended by the leaders and key decision makers of the Indian Fluid Power Industry as well as overseas delegates and delegates from Assofluid, the apex fluid power body of Italy, who was the partner association for the event.
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited Chairman Ashok Baweja inaugurated the event.
