Five killed, 33 injured in road accident

Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh, May 11 (UNI) Five labourers were killed and 33 seriously injured in a road accident when a lorry in which they were travelling overturned near Penduru about 35 km from here today.

Police said the mishap occurred when the labourers were proceeding to their native place Pathapadu Village in West Godavari district.

The injured were admitted to the government hospital.

Krishna District Collector Navin Mittal visited the hospital along with district S P, M K Singh and DRO K Sundhar Raju, police added.
