Eurocopter recieves Igor sikorsky Intl Trophy

New Delhi, May 11 (UNI) Eurocopter has been awarded the American Helicopter Society's Igor Sikorsky International Trophy, for setting a world record with mir medet AS350 BJ landing on top of Mount Everest in 2005.

The trophy was awarded yesterday at Phoenix (Arizona).

The Igor Sikosky International Trophy was instituted in 1961 by Sikorsky Aircraft and is given anually to the company that designs and manufactures a pure helicopter establishing an official record during the preceding calendar year.

Eurocopter is a wholly owned subsidary of European aeuronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS), a global leader in aerospace, defence and related services.
