Badal says to review land tranfer deal if elected
Jalandhar, May 10 (UNI) Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president and former Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today said if his party came in power after the assembly elections in the state it would review the present Amarinder Singh Government's land transfer deals in favour of Reliance Industries Limited(RIL).
Talking to reporters here today Mr Badal said that SAD is totally against the present Congress Government's move which had harmed interests of farmers and therefore his party would take steps to stall implementation of the decision.
He said that his party had already sent legal notice to the state chief secretary against the government's decision and would proceed further with legal proceeding if needed.
Mr Badal said that the decision was aimed at extending undue benefit to the industrial house on the cost of poor farmers of the state.
Mr Badal also expressed dissatisfaction over the appointment of new chirman of the Punjab State Public Service Commssion.
