Abu Salem's hearing via video-conferencing mooted
Lucknow, May 11 (UNI) The CBI today suggested a case hearing -- involving Mumbai bomb blast accused and jailed mafia don Abu Salem -- via video-conferencing.
CBI court judge Shivani Jaiswal fixed July 1 as the next date of hearing in the matter.
According to the CBI counsel, the video-conferencing option was being weighed since the personal presence of Salem in the Lucknow court is not possible due to security aspect.
Abu Salem and another person, Parvez Alam, are accused in a fake passport case of Lucknow. The case is pending before the CBI court.
